Our earlier comparison of AI visibility tools quoted a monthly price for Profound. In October 2026, Profound's pricing page lists two things: a free Trial, with 50 prompts run every day for seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and an Enterprise plan with a custom price, covering up to nine answer engines. The page also mentions an "Agency Growth" plan with 400 credits per month for each client workspace, without a price.
For a large company with a procurement team, "talk to sales" is normal. For a small business or a small agency, it means a call, a demo and a quote before you know whether the tool is even in your budget. So the question many readers ask us is simple: what else is there, and what does it cost?
We answered it the same way as in our other comparisons. On 23 October 2026 we read the pricing page of each tool below and wrote down the price, the number of prompts (the questions the tool asks the AI engines on your behalf) and the engines included. Where a page did not show something, we say so.
What do you lose when you leave Profound?
Before the alternatives, it is fair to say what Profound offers. Its Enterprise plan lists nine engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. Daily tracking, unlimited seats and a prompt plan built for you. None of the tools below lists Exa Search.
The alternatives below cover between four and eleven engines, at a price you can see before speaking to anyone. What you give up is what an enterprise contract adds, such as a prompt plan built for you.
Is Otterly.AI the cheapest way to start?
Otterly.AI has the lowest paid entry on this list. Its pricing page shows Lite at $29 per month with 15 search prompts, Standard at $189 with 100 prompts, Premium at $489 with 400 prompts, and Enterprise from 1,000 prompts at a custom price. A second set of lower prices, $25, $160 and $422, appears next to a toggle that reads "Annually 15% off". Prices exclude tax.
The detail to read carefully is which engines are included. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot come with every plan. Google AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons, $9 per month each on Lite and $59 each on Standard. Claude costs $29 per month on Lite and $109 on Standard. So Lite with every engine costs $76 per month instead of $29.
Otterly's FAQ confirms a free trial for new users, without saying how long it lasts.
My assessment: still the cheapest way to see whether ChatGPT and Google's AI answers mention you. Fifteen prompts is a small sample, so choose them with care.
Is LLMrefs the best value alternative to Profound?
LLMrefs has one paid plan, which it calls All in One, at $79 per month, marked "Limited time only" on the page. It includes 500 tracked prompts, unlimited projects under one subscription, unlimited team members, and, in the page's words, "all AI search engines with no additional fees". The engines named are ChatGPT, AI Overview, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot and Meta, with DeepSeek mentioned in the FAQ. There is a seven-day free trial.
On paper, that is more prompts and more engines than any other plan here at this price. Two notes, though. The "limited time" label means the price may change, and the page is not consistent with itself in places: one section says geo-targeting in "50+ countries and 20+ languages", another says "20+ countries and 10+ languages".
My assessment: the strongest offer on paper for a small team or an agency. Lock in the price if it suits you, and check the country you need is covered during the trial.
Is Semrush a good alternative to Profound?
Semrush now puts AI visibility inside its main plans, under the heading SEO and AI search. The SEO plan, at $139 per month or $117.33 per month billed annually, includes AI search performance tracking, sentiment monitoring, AI visibility reports for any domain and custom prompt monitoring; the page does not give a prompt number for it. Starter, at $199 per month ($165.17 annually), tracks 50 prompts daily for one domain, with 300 AI visibility reports per day. Pro+ at $299 ($248.17 annually) tracks 100 prompts daily, and Advanced has unlimited prompts at a custom price.
On its AI visibility page, Semrush lists the engines as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, SearchGPT, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. The same page mentions 25 prompts on a separate AI Visibility Toolkit.
The real argument for Semrush is everything around the AI data: the keywords, the backlinks and the site audit for the same competitor, in the same account. If you already pay for Semrush, check what your plan includes before you buy any tool on this list.
My assessment: the right choice for a team that wants one bill for SEO and AI visibility. As a standalone AI tracker, LLMrefs or Otterly cost less.
Does Ahrefs Brand Radar replace Profound?
Ahrefs sells AI tracking as an add-on. Its pricing page lists Brand Radar AI from $199 per month, and custom prompt packages at $50 (Basic), $100 (Growth) and $250 (Scale) per month, with extra checks billed beyond the package. These come on top of an Ahrefs plan; Lite starts at $129 per month.
So the minimum for AI tracking inside Ahrefs is above $300 per month. That makes sense for a team already working in Ahrefs every day, and less sense for anyone else.
My assessment: an addition for existing Ahrefs customers, not a reason to start with Ahrefs.
What does Moz Pro include for AI visibility?
Moz added AI features to its regular plans. According to its pricing page, Standard at $99 per month ($79 paid yearly) includes 3 AI visibility dashboards and 150 tracked prompts, with weekly prompt tracking. Medium at $179 ($143 yearly) includes 6 dashboards and 300 prompts, and Large at $299 ($239 yearly) includes 12 dashboards and 600 prompts. Extra dashboards cost $20 each, and extra prompts $50 per 100.
Weekly tracking is the limit to notice: Profound, Semrush and Peec AI all list daily tracking. For a small business watching a slow trend, weekly can be enough.
My assessment: a sensible choice for a business that wants classic SEO tools first and AI tracking as a second feature, at a lower price than Semrush.
Are AthenaHQ and Scrunch closer to Profound?
These two are the closest to Profound in style: dedicated AI visibility platforms with wide engine coverage, at a higher price than the rest.
AthenaHQ has a free Essential plan with 300 credits across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot, and unlimited users. Its Starter plan costs $295 per month with 3,600 credits per month and lists 11 engines, adding Google AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. One credit equals one AI response. The page shows a "17% off" annual option without the annual figure, and a "$300/month free credit" label it does not explain.
Scrunch lists Starter at $300 month to month, or $250 per month billed annually, with 350 custom prompts, 1,000 industry prompts, 3 personas and 3 seats; Growth at $500, or $417 annually, with 700 custom prompts and 5 seats. Engines on all plans: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, and Meta. Extra seats cost $25 per month, and the seven-day Starter trial needs no credit card.
My assessment: if you wanted Profound for its coverage and its depth, and you want to see a price first, these two are where to look. AthenaHQ's free plan is the easiest way to test the style.
What about Peec AI?
Peec AI's pricing page lists three monthly plans: Starter with 50 prompts and one project, Pro with 150 prompts and two projects, and Advanced with 350 prompts, five projects, several countries and a Looker Studio connection. All three include daily tracking, a choice of three AI models and unlimited users. Enterprise is annual with a custom price. The page says it is used by more than 3,500 brands and agencies; that is the company's own figure.
The version of the page we read did not show the monthly prices as text, so we leave them out rather than repeat an older number. Check Peec's site for the current figure.
My assessment: worth a look for teams who care most about how AI describes their brand, which is the focus Peec chose.
How do the prices compare side by side?
| Tool | Cheapest paid plan | Prompts on that plan | Engines included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profound | Custom (Enterprise) | Custom | Up to 9 |
| Otterly.AI | Lite, $29/month | 15 | 4, three more as add-ons |
| LLMrefs | All in One, $79/month | 500 | 9 named, all included |
| Moz Pro | Standard, $99/month | 150, tracked weekly | Not listed per plan |
| Semrush | SEO, $139/month | Not stated (50 on Starter) | 6 listed |
| Ahrefs | Brand Radar AI, from $199/month plus a plan | Packages from $50/month | Not listed |

| Scrunch | Starter, $300/month | 350 custom | 7 |

All figures are monthly billing in US dollars, from each vendor's pricing page on 23 October 2026.
Which Profound alternative should you choose?
If your budget is under $100 per month, start with LLMrefs at $79, or Otterly Lite at $29 if you only need a handful of prompts on ChatGPT and Google. If you already pay for Semrush, Moz or Ahrefs, look at what your plan includes first; you may be paying for AI tracking already.
Between $100 and $300, Semrush Starter or Moz Medium give you AI tracking together with the rest of SEO. Otterly Standard at $189 gives you 100 prompts in a dedicated tool.
From $300 upward, AthenaHQ and Scrunch are the dedicated platforms with the widest coverage, and at that level it is also worth asking Profound for its quote, so that you compare real numbers.
Does any AI visibility tool give you a precise number?
No, and it is better to know this before you pay. AI engines can give a different answer each time. The same question, asked an hour later, can name different businesses and cite different pages. A tool that runs your prompts once a day captures one answer out of many possible ones, and a tool that runs them once a week captures fewer.
The tools are still useful, because the trend over months is more reliable than any single reading. If your brand appears in more answers this month than last month, across the same prompts in the same tool, something has changed. If two tools disagree on this month's number, that is normal, because they asked at different times. Choose one tool, keep the same prompts, and judge it over months.
